I hope I can inspire you to create delicious, happy, food in your own kitchen through my blog, food writing, and photography.

My emphasis is on eating a variety of food types, flavours, and textures.

Food is a passport to other cultures, and it connects us with Nature, and each other – I hope you’ll journey with me.

What we eat has the power to connect us, and nurture us, as well as sustain us – it is our ‘soul fuel’.

My first cookbook, SOULiCiOUS, is all about soul food. It offers a fresh take on America’s oldest and most influential cuisine – African American Soul Food. From Collard Greens and Cornbread to Cajun-style Salmon, to Blackberry Cobbler and Lemon Icebox Pie, it shares 70 soul food recipes. I’ve reduced the sugar and salt, but not the flavours.
